Iris Chang
Writer

I asked Ms. Chang "Would you please think about some of the tragic events you wrote about and share those thoughts not by your eloquent words, but by your expression?"
She very generously obliged and the result is a little chilling.

I also think American medicine's research is based on the physique of an average American, who is larger and has a higher and different metabolism. Ms. Chang was taking anti-depressant medication and when she stopped, it may have contributed to a catasthropic decline in her biological, neurological and psychological balance, and may have contributed to her suicide. Also, she had given birth to a child two years earlier. It is very plausible, that she was also suffering from post partum depression. Many people think "Oh, that goes away after a few months." To that I ask, "Does the name Andrea Yeates sound familiar?" Hopefully, tragedies like these will encourage medical science to increase their efforts to improve the treatment in these types of maladies.

Lastly, Ms. Chang lived in a nice part of San José, which makes it strange that she purchased a gun so easily. We should also ask, "When will we learn that America's gun fetish causes so much violence and tragedies."
